Childbirth Education Certification

I am currently working towards my Childbirth Education Certification.  Hopefully, by the end of 2009 I will be able to teach Childbirth Education to pregnant women and their partners.  I will be awarded the title CCE, certified childbirth educator.

The organization I am studying with is called Childbirth Education Association of Metropolitan New York.   Teachers take 14 classes, read 15 books, attend childbirth ed. series, La Leche meetings, work with a mentor, co-teach and do volunteer work prior to certification.
